A tracking solution from Wire3 Technologies has helped Tesco tackle a problem of attacks at its logistics centres. Its success has been recognised in the form of a Tesco Value Award for technical innovation.

The problem is described as 'a serious ongoing incident', and Tesco director Alan Brown says the company was looking for a way to identify those responsible. Wire3 rose to the challenge.

'Having listened to our problems, they came up with a innovative and industry-leading solution,' he says, 'and as a result we were able to work together with the police to put in place a solution that gave Tesco confidence that those responsible for the attacks would be identified quickly.'
